Update 2026-02-09 @ 11:50Z A really weird bug showed up: N3ATQ (a non-member) was giving FOC 1759, which was formerly K4UEE's number. It turns out that this is his CWOps number! Marabella never expected that sort of thing but I have now amended the code to check the FOC number received against the current list of members' numbers rather than just doing a range check. This is the first time in 23 years of Marabella that this problem has occurred. I am, for now, not releasing an updated version of Marabella as I really want to do more extensive testing before releasing the code. Members might like to check their logs for QSOs with N3ATQ. I cannot emphasise strongly enough that there is no point whatsoever running Marabella on your 2026 log until I have updated the databases. This simply is not possible until very close to the end of the event because some members turn up with unannounced callsigns that have to be entered into the database. Please QRX. I will update the databases as soon as I can. Meanwhile I would like to get back to making QSOs! A major aspect of Marabella's operation is having up-to-date Entity information, which I obtain from G7VJR's excellent Club Log and the FOC membership database that is maintained by Tyler, N4TY. Both of these, but especially the membership database are in a state of considerable flux, especially in the run-up to the Marathon. Because of this I will not be posting new databases until close to the end of the event. There is no point running Marabella until after the event, so you lose nothing by waiting. Please be patient. Update procedure If you already have Marabella IV installed, or on the first run of a new installation, you will be automatically offered the updates when you start the program. Please be sure to accept these updates! Marabella can only score your log correctly if it has the latest databases.
